PURPOSE:To prevent a magnet from disturbing the flow of oil and prevent damping of an exciting effect when a magnetic field is applied, by a method wherein at least one section of an oil feed piping is formed with a non-magnetic pipe, magnets are disposed externaly of the non-magnetic pipe, and a magnetic field is exerted on oil which flows through the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ring-shaped permanent magnets 2 are disposed over a length (l) of about 1m through the medium of a pole piece 3 at the outer periphery of the non-magnetic section of a pipe 1 so that polarities repel to each other. Each magnet 2 is surrounded with a non-magnetic cylinder 4, and the opposite ends of the cylinder 4 are closed by non-magnetic covers 5. Effective magnetic flux from the permanent magnets 2 is guided to the inside of the pipe with the aid of the pole pieces 3 to generate an alternating magnetic field in which N and S are switched periodically, and a magnetic field is exerted on oil flowing through the pipe 1. |
