The invention relates to a signal matching circuit for converting one or more voltage signals, applied in each case to an input from a predefined, limited voltage range whose upper limit lies above the lower limit by an essentially fixed factor, into a voltage signal with a predetermined fixed value at the output of at least one channel of the circuit which in each case comprises an essentially symmetrical input (1, 2) in each case with a series resistor (3) in the input lines (1', 2'), a rectifier (4), an optocoupler (5), a noise-pulse suppression circuit (6) and devices (7) for generating a stable output voltage. In order to increase substantially the voltage range to be detected unambiguously from the same channel and to be able to convert both AC and DC voltages of any polarity with the aid of the circuit in a suitable manner, it is proposed according to the invention that the noise-pulse suppression circuit (6) is connected downstream of the optocoupler (5) in at least one channel, that the factor between the upper and lower limits of the detectable input voltage range is at least 10, and that the optocoupler (5) has a current amplification factor of at least 200. <IMAGE>
