NEW MATERIAL:A thiobis-alkylphenol-nickel-hindered amine complex compound expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 represent H, alkyl, cycloalkyl or formula II ; X represents H, monovalent acyl, N-substituted carbamoyl, N-substituted thiocarbamoyl, monovalent group formed by eliminating one hydroxyl group from an oxyacid, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl). EXAMPLE:[2,2'-Thiobis (4-octylphenol)]-4-acetoxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine- nickel-(II). USE:A stabilizer protecting an organic compound from the destroying action of ultraviolet rays. PREPARATION:A thiobis-alkhlphenol-nickel compound expressed by formula IV and a hindered amine compound expressed by formula V are heated while refluxing in an aromatic solvent to obtain a compound expressed by formula I. |
