<p>Process for extracting zinc from silicate zinc ores, in which the comminuted ore is put in suspension in water, the aqueous or suspension is extracted with an alkyl phosphoric acid ester at a pH value of 1.4 to 3.5 and at a temperature of 20-90oC for a period of 30-300 minutes, the organic zinc-containing phase is separated from the aqueous solid-containing phase, the organic zinc-containing phase is treated with diluted sulphuric acid and the aqueous zinc sulphate solution is subjected to electrolysis to precipitate the zinc. According to this process, in the aqueous phase of the suspension during treatment of the suspension with an alkyl phosphoric acid ester, a dissolved silicic acid content of between 20 and 60 g SiO¿2?/l is achieved by the addition of water or ores.</p> |
