The invention relates to a mixing valve for low-pressure hot-water storage tanks with a valve housing which has a fixed control surface and in the control surface an inlet opening of an inlet duct for cold water and at least two outlet openings of outlet ducts for cold water, the first of which is intended for connection to the hot-water storage tank and the second for connection to a water outlet, and with a control slide which can move relative to the fixed control surface and has at least one control opening capable of communicating with the inlet opening and the outlet openings of the valve housing. In this arrangement, the mixing valve (1) for the hot-water storage tank is designed as a ball valve with a valve housing (2) with spherical cup-shaped control surface (4) and a control slide in the form of an at least partially spherical control plug (5). <IMAGE>
