<p>PURPOSE:A freshness retaining agent, consisting of a carrier, a peroxide and an oxidation accelerator, and capable of oxidizing rapidly ethylene gas generated from vegetalbes and fruits and flowering plants, etc., removing completely the ethylene gas, and retaining the good freshness for a long term. CONSTITUTION:A freshness retaining agent obtained from a carrier, e.g. activated carbon, a peroxide, preferably calcium peroxide, and an oxidation accelerator, preferably a 2-20C organic acid, e.g. myristic acid.</p> |
