PURPOSE:To discriminate that a card which has a memory stored previously with color information showing the color features of the card is a correct card when the color information in the memory coincides with the color measurement result of the card by measuring the color of the card and reading the color information out of the memory when the card is inserted. CONSTITUTION:The card 20 has the memory 23, a CPU and an electrode 21 provided in a plate type base 22 and an optical pattern 25 formed on the top surface of the base 22. The optical pattern 25 is formed by printing a color pattern 33 that a pattern reader 7 senses and a color pattern that the reader does not sense. The memory 23 provided to the card 20 is stored previously with the color pattern features of the card 20 and when the card 20 is inserted, the feature information is read out of the memory 23 of the card 20; when the feature information coincides with the color pattern 33 of the card 20, it is discriminated that this card 20 is correct. |
