<p>An electronic control apparatus for a glassware forming machine comprises at least one section controller (150) producing actuating and deactuating signals for a section of the machine, and a machine controller (130) for controlling setup of the forming machine. The apparatus also comprises a mechanism controller (200,450,460) for a given functional component of a section. The mechanism controller comprises a processor (210), non-volatile control program memory means (215), a serial input port (132) for receiving setup parameters from the machine controller, and at least one output interface (230) for outputting control signals to the functional component in response to commands from said processor.</p> |
