PURPOSE:To attach a magnetic head to a hold case with high precision by using a jig, which can set unequivocally the height and the degree of parallel of the slide face of the magnetic head to the hold case, to attach the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A groove-shaped placing part 52 on which a magnetic head 51 should be placed is formed in the center part of a jig 50, and a supporting part 54 on which a hold case 53 should be placed is provided on the upper face. The magnetic head 51 is placed on the placing part 52 of the jig 50 and has a slide face 51a brought into contact with a bottom face 52a of the placing part 52, and air is sucked from an air current passage 52b to fix the head 51. The hold case 53 is placed on the supporting part 54 and is supported on the jig 50 at a prescribed height from the bottom face 52a. An adhesive 58 is injected to a gap 57 between an attaching face 53b of the hold case 53 and an attaching face 51b of the magnetic head 51 to attach the magnetic head 51 to the hold case 53. After the hold case 53 to which the magnetic head 51 is attached is removed from the jig, the magnetic head 51 is attached to the hold case 53 at the prescribed height with a good degree of parallel. |
