PURPOSE:To reproduce an original with excellent gradation by installing a liquid crystal display board on contact glass, generating a regular lattice-like pattern dropping light transmissivity, and exposing and scanning a pattern together with an original. CONSTITUTION:The contact glass 2 which the original is set is installed on the upper part of a copying machine main body 1, and the liquid crystal dot type liquid crystal display board 3 is entirely installed in the glass 2. With this constitution, basically the ON part of the liquid crystal dot matrix of the display board 3, that is, a part where light transmissivity drops, is formed in a lattice, and the original is piled thereon with the surface of the original downward. Then an exposure optical system scans the original, and forms a latent image on the photosensitive body. Development is made according to a negative-positive development system, and a part of an original image is dropped-out and thereby giving a white dot effect. Moreover the relationship between the original density of the image and a copying density is controlled, and the original is reproduced with the excellent gradation. |
