The invention concerns a safety ring for preventing the nuts unthreading from the stud bolts of a vehicle wheel. An annular element 1 has a number of openings 2 in which a grip sleeve 3 is rotatably arranged. The grip sleeve has a through-hole 4 intended to receive the nut. A spring element 5 pre-tensions the grip sleeve with a spring force tending to turn the grip sleeve, and with it the nut, towards the tightened position of the nut. The spring element 5 can be a helical spring, a tension spring or other type of spring whose one end is anchored in the grip sleeve and whose other end is anchored in the safety ring in order to obtain the said pre-tensioning of the grip sleeve. <IMAGE> |
