PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the value conforming to an actual value, by operating the torque of an engine on the basis of throttle change quantity to which a limit value was provided by a limit value introducing means when the conversion quantity of the opening degree of a throttle valve is larger than predetermined quantity. CONSTITUTION:An engine torque detection apparatus 200 is constituted of a throttle sensor 201 detecting the opening degree of a throttle valve and a microcomputer 202 consisting of a value opening degree detection means 203, a positive and negative judge means 204, a valve opening degree range judge means 205, a limit valve introducing means 206 and an operation means 207. When a pedal is abruptly worked in order to perform rapid acceleration, the absolute value of the change quantity of the opening degree of the throttle valve becomes larger than predetermined quantity but change quantity is corrected in a small level to calculate the torque of the engine. By this method, the torque value of the engine conforming to an actual state can be detected. |
