The head rest (31) for a folding invalid chair is mounted detachably behind the back rest (10), and connected to the side members which have the handles (12, 13) attached. The head rest can be adjusted horizontally and vertically, and is carried by a frame (14) with a telescopic cross member (16) which has a clamping piece (22) each end, which is locked onto the handles. These pieces (22) form part of end units (17) attached to the central cross member which is of hollow square section. At their junction points are vertical guides (26) for the rods (27) which extend downwards from the head rest, permitting height adjustment. Locating stops are incorporated in these rods to give the height variations. |
