Pocket camera using film cassettes has an automatic exposure adjustment made according to the film speed. A mark on the cassette is coded for film speed and engages upon insertion, with responsive mechanism in the camera. The film cassette has a projection which operates levers to adjust the shutter elements. A further adjustment is operated by the camera user and this also engages the levers operated by the film speed setting. A further adjustment for flash operation is also incorporated.
