PURPOSE:To obtain a large output current with small-sized, lightweight constitution by connecting a coil and a switching element in series with a battery power source, and turning on and off the switching element by the charging and discharging of a capacitor and rectifying and smoothing a high-voltage pulse induced at the coil. CONSTITUTION:When a battery voltage is supplied to a terminal A, the voltage at a connection point F is determined by resistances R1 and R2 and the base-emitter voltage of a transistor TR1 to turn on the TR1 and also turns on a TR2. Then, a current flows through the coil L and the potential at a connection point E drops almost to zero to charge energy in the coil L; and the current flows in the order of the terminal A, R1, emitter and base of the TR1, capacitor C, and collector and emitter of the TR2 to charge the capacitor C, and the base potential VB of the AR1 rises, so that the TR1 turns off. Then, the TR2 also turns off, and the energy of the coil L is rectified D, charged and smoothed by a smoothing capacitor C0, and outputted from the terminal B. The charge of the capacitor C is discharged through a coil L1 and the resistance R1 and the TR1 turns on again to repeat said operation. Consequently, a high voltage and a large current is generated by the small-sized, lightweight device. |
