PURPOSE:To enhance operability, by opening and closing a paper bail lever through moving a printing carrier. CONSTITUTION:After a paper-setting command is received, a printing carrier 21 is moved to a position (c) to thereby open a paper bail lever 24. Next, paper is fed by rotating a line-feeding motor. Then, the carrier 21 is once returned to a printing-starting position (a), and thereafter it is moved again to a position (b) to close the paper bail lever 24. Accordingly, the paper can be automatically set by simply moving the printing carrier 21 to a position on the outside of the printing-starting position in two steps. |
