In covered railway wagons having side doors which can be opened at least as far as half the wagon length, dividing walls serve as partition walls to secure the cargo during transportation. These dividing walls are locked by means of locking bolts which are housed in a holding device in the dividing wall, the locking bolts engaging in perforated or notched rails fitted in the wagon. In order to reduce the dead load of the railway wagon and to increase its load carrying capacity, the locking bolt consists of a solid pin (15), for engaging with the perforated or notched rail, and a reduced-weight shaft (16). The pin (16) is provided with flattened faces (17) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the wagon, and the shaft (16) is hollow. Due to the fact that there are a great many of these locking members, the dead weight of a coupled train can be substantially reduced. <IMAGE> |
