PURPOSE:To obtain a non-image part destaticizing device of a variable power copying machine which destaticizes a blank part with a simple constitution, by providing a destaticizing lamp in the original platen side of a light shielding plate and changing the relative distance between the light shielding plate and the destaticizing lamp to vary the destaticization range of the destaticizing lamp. CONSTITUTION:In case of a reduction copy, the image of the whole of an original platen 5 is reductively focused to the center on a photosensitive body 4 and blank parts 4a and 4b are formed in both end parts of the photosensitive body 4. Since light shielding plates 2a and 2b are moved to the side of the photosensitive body 4, the range where the rays of light of destaticizing lamps 3a and 3b are shielded by light shielding plates 2a and 2b is narrowed, and the light is irradiated to the center from both end parts of the photosensitive body 4. By position setting, the light is irradiated to destaticize parts from the boundary of the image of the original platen 5 to both ends of the photosensitive body, namely, blank parts in the copying of any reduction rate. Thus, it is sufficient if two destaticizing lamps are used, and destaticization is performed without complicated control. |
