A gap between platens (3) of a press-autoclave is subdivided by an envelope comprised of a rigid frame (18) and deformable bladders (15a, 15b) into an internal sealed chamber (22) connected to a vacuum pump and into at least one external pressure chamber (23). The bladders (15a, 15b) are applied against products to be treated (9) optionally mounted on toolings (14), thereby providing for their compression. The heating and cooling may be effected by the platens (3) or by the pressurization fluid of the external chamber or chambers (23).
