PURPOSE:To improve color mixture in picture elements while keeping the burden of a peripheral driving circuit as it is by forming dispersedly many unit picture elements of the same color in one picture element. CONSTITUTION:Gates of TFTs 14-16 are connected to a scan signal line 10, and sources of them are connected to picture signal lines 11-13. Drains of TFTs 14-16 are connected to unit picture element electrodes 18, 21, and 24, and unit picture element electrodes 18-20, 21-23, and 24-26 out of unit picture element electrodes are connected to scan signal lines and picture signal lines indicated by solid lines and broken lines respectively in the same process. Only in parts marked with '.' of connections between unit picture elements, through holes are required in layers insulating intersections between the scan signal line 10 and picture signal lines 11-13. Though TFTs are operated in the same manner as a conventional example, the number of unit picture element electrodes driven by one TFT is tripled and three fold unit picture elements of the same color have the same lightness and unit picture elements of the same color are arranged dispersedly in one picture element. |
