The invention relates to a mouldboard for improving earthworks. It considerably increases the reliability of machines such as power shovels, with ease, facility and speed. It is a conventional mouldboard at the back of which a metal rod 1 has been fixed, enabling this mouldboard to be grasped. In the working position, this rod is wedged between the raised bucket and the front arm of the machine. This accessory is universal in that it may be used on all types of shovels. It is independent and removable, has a variety of purposes and is quickly attached and detached. <IMAGE>
