The incubator has a heating element, positioned vertically in a convection duct with a top-mounted throttle flap valve. A vertical slidable front panel can be retained in any required postion by a deformable retain/stop mechanism. The housing (1) includes a base (2), rear wall (3) top (4) and front walls (5). A vertical slidable front panel (6) with hand grips can be retained by a resilient hose type retainer stop (9). The unit further includes a tubular heating element (12) which is vertically mounted in the convection duct (11). The vertical part of the duct includes on angle mounted throttle flap valve.
