PURPOSE:To increase adhesion of the surface of conductive core and an active material surface through a conductive binder by coating the surface of conductive core with a conductive binder, and applying a paste-like active material thereto. CONSTITUTION:The both sides of a conductive core 1 are coated with a conductive binder 2, then the surface of the conductive binder 2 is coated with a paste- like active material to obtain an about 0.75mm thick electrode plate. The plate is dried at 90 deg.C for 30min, then pressed to a thickness of 0.7mm to manufacture an electrode plate A. An electrode plate B is manufactured in the same process as the plate A except for no coating of the conductive binder. An electrode plate C is manufactured in the same process as the plate A except for the coating of a 10% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol in which no conductive material is dispersed instead of the coating of conductive binder. In the plates A and C, since polyvinyl alcohol exists, the mechanical adhesive strength of the surface of the conductive core 1 and the paste-like active material 3 is increased. |
