PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation or the damage of an image carrier by protecting the image carrier with a shutter. CONSTITUTION:A pair of frames 15 of a cartridge K are provided with an aperture part 30 for image exposure and an aperture part 31 for transfer which is used to transfer the image on a drum 3 onto a sheet P. An exposure shutter 32 and a transfer shutter 33 are provided for aperture parts 30 and 31 respectively so that they can be moved between aperture part covering close positions and aperture part opening positions, namely, they can be opened and closed. The exposure shutter 32 and the transfer shutter 33 protect a photosensitive layer 3a from degradation due to light, damage, or the like. |
