The structure has one or more ceilings over which pedestrians and/or vehicles can travel and mounted on a base structure. Each ceiling comprises oblong supporting members accommodated at the ends on horizontal transverse beams of the structure. The members are of sheet-metal, bent into channel sections, with their webs forming the top surface. Ribs running in the transverse direction are formed in these sections by drawing.
