The rotary drive for actuating fitting elements (4, 5) located on the opposite sides of motor vehicle seats is formed by means of a mechanism (9) with multiple power-transmission paths, which mechanism is connected via a flexible shaft (14) to a rotary handle (15). Leading from the mechanism (9) with multiple power-transmission paths to the fitting elements (4, 5) are shafts (7, 8) which have essentially the same rotational deformation resistance. <IMAGE>
