BOBBIN INSERTION METHOD IN ROVING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To enable sure charging of an empty bobbin to a bobbin wheel, by stopping the flyer and rotating the bobbin wheel when the bottom of the empty bobbin is brought into contact with the protrusion of the bobbin wheel. CONSTITUTION:An empty bobbin 27 is charged to the bobbin wheel 20 of a roving machine having top-supported flyer 14 by the following process. The bobbin wheel 20 is lowered while suspending the empty bobbin 27 from the bobbin changing arm 33 of an automatic bobbin changer. When the bottom of the empty bobbin 27 is brought into contact with the protrusion of the bobbin wheel 20 in the course of the lowering motion of the bobbin wheel 20, the bobbin wheel 20 is rotated maintaining the flyer 14 in essentially stationary state to enable the sure fitting of the bottom of the empty bobbin 27 to the bobbin wheel 20.
