The invention relates to a mortice safety lock with a lock cylinder displacing a bolt and with an electromechanical sensor which senses the bolt position and which consists of a mechanical sensing and transmitting linkage and of an electrical alarm switch. According to the invention, the actuating movement of the sensor linkage is blocked by a blocking member cooperating with a lock-cylinder boss, as soon as the bolt is transferred into the blocking position by the lock cylinder. This ensures that this position of the sensor linkage remains blocked even when the bolt is pushed back into the lock case by unauthorized manipulation. The blocking member is designed so that it reliably blocks the sensor linkage in the most diverse angular arrangements of the boss on the lock cylinder.
