The exhaust gas conduit is for i/c engines which have an after-burner and an exhaust gas mixer, and comprises a number of guide surfaces which surround the exhaust gas flow. These surfaces cover all, or virtually all, the inner cross-section (Qu) of the exhaust gas conduit (1), and form with their two sides (3a, 3b) a control surface facing the gas current. They are formed as a flexible assembly composed by a row or successive spiral plates (3), and are, in fact, the conical windings (3) of one-piece spiral supporting against the exhaust gas conduit (1) inner wall (1b).
