摘要 PURPOSE:To typewrite without generating spots, by a method wherein pins the length of which is varied in correspondence with the number of strokes in a character are provided on a controlling panel, the detection angle of a detecting piece is varied, and a detection signal is sent to a rotary solenoid to control an impact force. CONSTITUTION:One of types 2 arranged in a type magazine 1 is selected, and is inserted into a type bar 11 by operating a key lever. A detecting element 8' provided at the tip of the detecting piece 8 is brought into contact with one of controlling pins 14a- 14f fitted on the controlling panel 4 which one corresponds to the number of strokes in the selected type. The angle of inclination of the detecting piece 8 is detected by a controller 13 under control by said one of the controlling pins, a detection signal is fed to the rotary solenoid 12, and controlled rotation starts the type bar 11 to move for printing. In this case, the inclination of the detecting piece 8 is controlled to an angle according to the number of strokes by the controlling pin provided on the controlling panel 4, and the length of the pins is varied according to the number of strokes, whereby printing a character with an impact force according to the number of strokes in the character is mechanically performed.
