<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to discriminate between data of a two-byte system and those of a one-byte system with invariable precision by flagging the only lst byte of data composed of two bytes. CONSTITUTION:No flag is set to data B composed of one byte, a flag is set to only the lst byte of data A of two bytes, and no dlag is set to the byte after data A. The unit can therefore process following data accurately even in case of the occurrence of an error in process, an interruption of the process, or absence of one byte. Namely, although a wrong character is displayed or printed out as to incomplete data, it can be prevented to display or print out a wrong character as to following data string discriminating between data A and data B.</p> |
