For the installation of electrical components, especially capacitors (10), in converter apparatuses, the components are plugged through circular openings (8) in retaining plates (7) and are attached in an insulated manner. In order to be able to mount electrical components having a different diameter universally, using the same insulating part, a plurality of identical plastic spacers (1) are provided in the retaining plate (7) along the opening (8). The spacers (1) have a parallelepiped base body (2) with side grooves (3) which are pushed into rectangular incisions (9) along the opening (8) in the retaining plate (7). The spring arms (5), which penetrate into the interior of the opening (8), of the spacers (1) support the pushed-in electrical component and ensure a uniform distance between the plate and the extension of the creepage path. <IMAGE>
