A mobile belt conveyor is connected to a conveying device at a distance in such a way that one of its extension arms rests with a predefined force on the delivery end of the conveying device. This is achieved by making the common centre of gravity, which is approximately situated in the region of the vertical axis of rotation, displaceable towards the conveying device. A weight is provided which can be displaced towards the conveying device and simultaneously unlocks the adjustment and pivoting mechanism. The superstructure with the two extension arms is henceforth to be pivoted by movement of the mobile belt conveyor and/or of the conveying device. <IMAGE>
