PURPOSE:To make it possible to recognize the extent of image forming with an original feeding device closed by driving and controlling an indicator provided in an automatic original feeding device and indicating the extent of image forming. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 134 is provided in an automatic original feeding device that can be opened and closed freely provided in the upper part of an original platen. The carriage 134 and a freely movable pointer 146 are moved in the direction of original scanning and in the direction at right angles to the direction of scanning by stepping motors 143, 137 that rotate according to the size of copying paper and the set variable magnification etc. The extent that can be copied can be recognized through the pointer 146 with the automatic original feeding device in closed state, and occurrence of mistake in copying can be prevented. |
