PURPOSE:An element, obtained by forming a carbon-containing hard film on an element substrate and coating the top thereof with a lubricating film having the hardness lower than half of that of the above-mentioned hard film and having abrasion resistance and low friction properties for prolonging the life of bodies. CONSTITUTION:An element obtained by forming a hard film containing carbon on at least a part subject to physical action of an element substrate and further coating the top thereof with a lubricating film constituted of a hard material having the hardness lower than half of that of the above-mentioned hard film, e.g. an inorganic compound such as sulfide, selenium compound, tellurium compound, fluoride, halogen compound or nitride, or graphite, etc. |
