The invention relates to a rotary machine with two rotary bodies which have parallel axes of rotation, roll on one another on their circumferential surfaces, are positively connected to one another in a rotatable manner via a toothing system and are enclosed, in as equidistant manner as possible, in the circumferential direction by a housing. It is the intention of the invention to improve said rotary machine in terms of its possible applications and to simplify it in terms of its structural complexity. This is achieved in that the two rotary bodies (1, 2) exhibit, distributed uniformly on the circumference and at regular circumferential intervals (5, 6), at least two sealing webs (7-10), which are configured in the form of lamellae and are intended for sealing against the inner surface (15) of the housing circumference, and depressions (17-20) which are assigned to the sealing webs on the respective other rotary body (1, 2) and do not seal against the sealing webs (7-10). <IMAGE>
