<p>PURPOSE:To perform the ignition of combustible particulate matter so efficiently, by spouting a catalytic solution which largely drops the extent of ignition temperature of the combustible particulate matter, at a time when the combustible particulate matter in exhaust gases accumulated in a particularate filter is removed by combustion. CONSTITUTION:In case of a device which is provided with a particulate filter 10, collecting combustible particulate matter such as carbon, or the like in exhaust gases, in an exhaust passage 2 of an engine 1 side by side, bypassing this filter 10, and installs a bypass passage 4 in the exhaust passage 2, an injection device 20 for a catalytic solution is attached to the hollow case 23 combinedly installed at the upstream side of the filter 10. This injection device 20 is operated by a control unit 32 at every specified driving time of the engine 1, controlling a motor-driven type air pump 24, an on-off valve 25, a three-way valve 28, etc., and it is constituted so as to spout the catalytic solution inside a tank 22 toward the filter 10 from a nozzle 21. With this constitution, ignition temperature in the combustible particulate matter is dropped to some extent, and the combustion efficiency is promoted.</p> |
