The invention relates to a stripper apparatus for very fine cleaning of conveyor belts, having maintenance-free setting and resetting of the individual stripper scrapers, the frame being fixedly installed. The very fine cleaning of the belts is achieved by means of a hard coating on the front side of the scrapers. The material of the scrapers is of normal quality, and the hard coating on the front side causes, during running, a clearance angle to be formed on the softer scraper material situated behind it, thus preventing the formation of a drawing-in wedge. For automatic setting and resetting, every scraper is equipped with a pressure member, which pressure members are mutually connected and by means of which all the scrapers bear against the belt with the same contact pressure, even when subjected to different degrees of wear. The pressure members are driven by a suitable medium, for example compressed air. A limited rotational movement of the scrapers transversely under the belt, for adapting the stripper edge to the conveyor belt, with automatic resetting, is achieved by use of an elastic bushing.
