<p>To mfr. the rotor of an a.c. generator, rack-shaped elements are stamped out of a flat iron strip. At least part of each tooth of an element is bent through 90 deg. in the same direction and each element is then bent into a closed shape about an axis parallel to the best parts of its teeth. The ends of the element which are opposite one another are welded together to form a pole piece. The pole pieces (2) are fastened to both ends of the core (1) so that the bent parts of their teeth mesh with one another.</p> |
