<p>A solid, controlled release, pharmaceutical composition comprising a drug and an anionic surfactant, incorporated in a matrix comprising a hydrophilic polymer, wherein the drug is either an acid addition salt of an organic base or a quaternary ammonium salt, provided that,. the organic base is not propranolol or chlorpheniramine.</p><p>Preferably the drug is an acid addition salt of an organic amine, the surfactant is a sulphosuccinate and the polymer is a water-soluble hydroxyalkyl cellulose ether.</p> |
