A device for switching between different operating conditions of a power tool, especially a portable electric tool, contains a rotary member (1) with an actuator pin (11) mounted eccentrically in the latter. One leg (18) of a stop spring extends into a slot (4) in the rotary member, part of the pin (11) being exposed in this slot. A curved portion 19 provided in the leg (18) of the spring enables two specific engagement positions between the leg (18) and the pin (11) to be obtained. A helical surface indentation extends between the inner end (3) of the rotary member (1) and the slot (4) to accommodate movement of the spring into and out of the slot (4) during insertion and withdrawal of the rotary member (1) into and from the tool's housing. <IMAGE> |
