<p>Heat accumulator comprises an insulated vessel contg. a liq. two heat exchangers and a static accelerator. One heat exchanger is at the bottom and is fed with a heat transfer fluid from a source of heat. The other is at the top and distributes the accumulated energy. The static accelerator intensifies water circulation by thermosiphon, and consists of metallic elements in the shape of truncated cones, spaced one above another, to bring about stratification of the liq. in the vessel. Problems associated with turbulence due to sudden intensification of circulation by thermosiphon are avoided.</p> |
