PURPOSE:To enable quickly automatic procurement of seismic information from a plurality of observing points, by controlling the start of recording and the generation of alarms depending on seismic vibrations detected each with the amplitude exceeding a reference value and transmitting the maximum of the amplitude and the like automatically. CONSTITUTION:When the amplitude of a detection signal by an seismic vibration detecting section 1 exceeds set values respectively with an alarm emitting reference amplitude value setter 21 and a record starting reference amplitude value setter 22 at a control section 2, an operation control section 23 controls the emission of alarms from an alarm section 3 and the start of recording the detection output by a recording section 4. The control section 2 is equipped with an automatic transmitter 24 to automatically transmit seismic information such as max. amplitude value of seismic vibration by the detecting section 1 to a remote point utilizing a telephone line. Likewise, a detection/alarm recorder for earthquakes at other observing points can automatically obtain seismic information quickly from several observing points at a system consolidation point or the like. |
