<p>The carrier to support inserted pile tufts is a grid with a stretch of 40%, a constant distortion of 5% and direct distortion of 10%. The construction of the gridded carrier allows a pattern to be imposed on it to guide the insertion of coloured pile tufts. The carrier is suitably made of plastic materials, pref. EVA copolymers. Pref. the pattern is shown on a smooth flexible material, such as a non-woven or a permeable woven or a tricot which is easily penetrated and the pile is inserted through the pattern into the carrier grid using a hollow tapered tool with a handgrip.</p> |
