PURPOSE:To improve durability and reduce weight by forming a ply layer from the fiber made of aromatic polyamide represented by a specific formula and a covering rubber having the prescribed characteristics with a specific composition, in a radial tire for an aeroplane. CONSTITUTION:A ply layer is constituted by covering the cord prepared form the fiber made of the aromatic copolyamide consisting of the unit A represented by the prescribed formula I and the unit B represented by the formula II, by the coating rubber which is made by compounding resorcin in 2.4-4.5wt. parts and silica in 2-10wt. parts into 100wt. parts of the rubber composition consisting of natural rubber and the blend rubber of natural rubber and isoprene rubber and whose 100% modulus after vulcanization is set to 35-50kg/cm<2>. With such constitution, durability can be improved, and weight can be reduced.
