PURPOSE:To provide a filter cloth aligning apparatus capable of automatically aligning unevenly stacked filter cloths and acting to clamp a filter cloth with a chuck, transfer the filter cloth to a prescribed position, open the chuck and, at the same time, align the filter cloth on an alignment table while preventing the movement of the filter cloth with a pressing device. CONSTITUTION:An end of a filter cloth 17 is clamped with plural chucks 1 and the cloth 17 is transferred to a prescribed position by a transfer apparatus 2. When the cloth is transferred to the position, the releasing lever 8 of the chuck 1 is actuated with a chuck-releasing apparatus 4 and, at the same time, a pressing device 3 is actuated to press the filter cloth 17. The filter cloth 17 can be aligned on the alignment table 5 while preventing the movement of the filter cloth. The top level of the filter cloth 17 is detected by the position sensor 6 and the alignment table is lowered gradually according to the number of aligned filter cloths 17. As a result, the alignment of filter cloths can be carried out automatically to save labor and automate the process. |
