摘要 PURPOSE:To carry out appropriate ignition by providing two sets of rotors and side electrodes, grounding the side electrodes disposed in advanced manner by a switch when a crank angular sensor is in trouble, and absorbing the generation of the advance angle spark. CONSTITUTION:First and second rotor electrodes 22 and 23 are electrically connected to each other, and respectively oppose first side electrodes 25A-25F (only A being shown) and second side electrodes 26A-26F (only A being shown) and further the second side electrodes are more advanced than the first side electrodes. In addition, the second side electrodes 26A-26F can be grounded by a switch 28. Upon normal driving, the switch 28 remains opened and is ignited by a spark of the first side electrodes. However, when the crank angle sensor is in trouble, the ignition is controlled by a pulse signal S9 of a predetermined period and a switch 28 is closed, and sparks due to high voltage at the advanced part are generated by the second side electrodes, but sparks due to the first side electrodes are not generated. By these procedures, ignition of appropriate timing is carried out.
