PURPOSE:To prevent the nose dive by obtaining the variation standard value from the average value of the attitude variation and controlling the suspension characteristic when the detected attitude variation exceedes a standard value by a prescribed value or more in brake application, in a suspension device having the variable damping force and spring constant. CONSTITUTION:When each detection signal of a ground clearance detector 4 and a brake switch 32 is input into a controller 5, the signal of the brake switch 32 judges the brake application state of a car. While, the input variation quantity of car height 4 is calculated, and the attitude variation standard value is set from the average value in a long time. Each detected attitude variation quantity is compared with the set attitude variation standard quantity, and when the variation quantity for the standard value of the detected variation quantity is over a prescribed value, the variation of attitude is suppressed by damping-force-controlling the buffer devices 2a-2d. With such constitution, the nose dive is prevented. |
