PURPOSE:To manufacture a synthetic resin pipe which is transparent and is favorable in stability against solvents, water resistance and hot water resistance, by a method wherein a monomer composition of a specific composition is enclosed into a cylindrical matrix and polymerized up to a semi-cured state while the same is being turned, and a monomer of a specific composition is added to the same and polymerized up to a solid state while the same is being turned in succession. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polymerizable monomer composition composed of more than 50wt% methyl methacrylate and a 50wt% monomer which is copolymerizable with the methyl methacrylate or a 100wt.pts. partial polymer, and (B) a monomer having one or more pieces of allyl groups in its molecule or 1-100wt.pts. partical polymer are enclosed into a cylinder matrix, and a synthetic resin pipe is manufactured by polymerizing them while the matrix is being turned centering round the center of the matrix as an axis. In this instance, after the A monomer and an initiator of polymerization have been enclosed into the cylindrical matrix, the inside of the matrix is replaced with nitrogen, and the matrix is turned centering round the center of the matrix as the axis. At the time when the polymerization of the A monomer has started and turned into a gelatinized state, to which the B monomer and initiator of polymerization are added, which are polymerized up to a solid state while they are being turned in succession and a synthetic resin pipe is obtained. |
