<p>PURPOSE:To detect a jam by the use of an existent sensor and to improve operativity by providing plural sensors which generate signals for controlling operations for copying, printing, etc., on a form conveyance path and deciding the jam by a control part on the basis of the signals of the sensors in addition to the output of the control signals for the operations. CONSTITUTION:A form supplied from a supply tray 1 is gripped and fixed on a transfer drum 5 at a gripping position by a gripper 5a and a toner image is transferred at a transfer part TP from a photosensitive drum 4. This drum 5 makes four turns according to a color mode to transfer respective color images to the form on the drum 5 and then the form is conveyed to a fixing roller 8 under the color of a release finger 6 through a vacuum transport 7 to fix the images. Then, the form is discharged to a discharge tray 9. The 1st- the 3rd sensors S1-S4 and the 4th sensor which generates a reference pulse on every turn are provided on the conveyance path for the form and the outputs of the respective sensors S1-S4 are applied to a control part 10. This control part 10 detects the form jamming and the jam is displayed on a display part 11.</p> |
